I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with Victoria when she expertly led our Staff & Board Retreat. I've followed her insight and guidance during our (successful) search for a new Executive Director. I’ve attended multiple board development workshops where Victoria makes sure you leave knowing why you want to serve on a board and provides the tools to help you bring your best into any board room. And lastly, I’ve worked side-by-side with her on a range of community projects and, in every case, I find myself not only more educated and informed, but also inspired and motivated!

We were so fortunate to find Victoria!  In 2022-2023 she worked with our staff, board, and CASA volunteers to help identify what defines success for our program and how we might best achieve success. All our program staff and volunteers were so impressed with Victoria that we immediately turned to her for help creating a 3-year strategic plan and conducting a staff retreat.  With Victoria we are guided thoughtfully, with a truly listening ear, while she keeps us focused and informs us about trends and other nonprofit best practices.   

Our small nonprofit benefited greatly from Victoria's guidance on a capital campaign feasibility study. She guided us from day one to the right launching point and scale that matched our capacity while allowing room for us to stretch and grow. That experience was so wonderful that when it came time for an update to our strategic plan update, I reached out to Victoria again to guide that process. Her professional yet very warm and personable approach helped us identify old patterns and face some difficult truths we wouldn't have seen without the comfort level and trust she's built with our staff and board of directors. Victoria truly understands the nuances of small nonprofits and working with "legacy" boards, a unique skill in her field - highly recommended!

From our first meeting with Victoria, we gained insight from her vast knowledge of nonprofit operations and governance. In particular, we appreciated the questions she posed after listening to our history, how we evolved and where we want to go. Victoria has been invaluable to us. I truly feel like when I look back at my career, I will think of the time I spent with Victoria as some of the most pivotal moments for me. So, really, thank you.

The word balanced comes to mind when thinking about working with Victoria. She addresses problems and opportunities with short and long term views. She can simultaneously serve the board of directors, staff, volunteers, bylaws, and mission of the organization understanding each’s authority, priorities, and needs. She is comfortable with shifting priorities unique to relying on volunteers and donors. She listens to understand and communicates clearly. Victoria has been an impactful partner and we are grateful.

Victoria has a clear knack for “cutting through” all the miscellany and getting right to the heart of the matter — identifying the problems and citing the many paths to success. Victoria stepped in as the interim CEO of United Way of Northeast Georgia (UWNEGA) for 10 months. She was quickly able to stabilize the staff and assess many uncovered prior issues. She also was intimately involved in assisting us with the selection of a new permanent CEO. She actively supported the entire 2018 campaign and helped the board through a very difficult time. She is extremely organized and driven to results. As the board chairman, I could not have kept the organization afloat without Victoria’s help and expertise.

Victoria is able to blend the perfect mix of science and art into our development work, allowing ACCA to create an agency wide culture of gratitude and generosity while helping us implement a financial and stewardship strategy. Victoria made the effort to fully understand ACCA’s mission, staff strengths and agency goals, while helping me feel more confident in both mine and our organization’s fundraising abilities. Working with Good Works has been one of the best investments we have made this year!

Victoria served as the interim Executive Director of the Clarke County Mentor Program while the organization conducted a comprehensive assessment and search that led to my hiring. As a first time nonprofit executive, I could not have been more fortunate than to follow in Victoria’s footsteps. In the year that I have been in my role, I have called upon Victoria numerous times for her expert advice in numerous areas including strategic planning, service delivery, staffing, board relations, donor stewardship, and technology. She has always been gracious with her time and spot on with her advice!

We could not be more satisfied with Victoria and Good Works LLC! As Georgia Military College moves forward with the development of a capital campaign in support of our sesquicentennial anniversary in 2029, we have found a full business partner in Victoria. Her data-driven and customized approach to the build out of our campaign has laid the foundation for success. Rather than take an “out of the box, cookie cutter approach,” Victoria has taken the time to understand Georgia Military College and our mission. The end result has been to develop strategies that have instilled confidence in the College leadership with regards to the ultimate success of the campaign.

Our nonprofit, Strong Girls Serve, is brand new. Victoria has been instrumental in getting us off to a great start with assistance in formation, mission statement writing, and board member recruitment. She is the perfect blend of knowledge, energy, professionalism and charm. Since both of our founders have education backgrounds, we have limited nonprofit experience, and Victoria has an amazing ability to make the hardest tasks easier and more palatable. We wouldn't be where we are now without her expertise and we are forever grateful.

Victoria has a true understanding of the challenges and opportunities nonprofit organizations face as they strive to build their infrastructure and impact. She was instrumental in getting all of our Board members to understand how we can grow and increase the role we play in our community. She made my job as an executive director so much easier.
